Stroke

Stroke patients may show signs of weakness, paralysis, and problems with balance or coordination. They could also have pain, numbness, burning or tingling sensations, fatigue, difficulties swallowing, or inattention to one side of the body.

  • Choosing the appropriate level of care/care plan.
  • Daily exercise routines.
  • Mobility, communication and eating if needed.

Parkinson's patients can also have speech difficulty, depression, speech dysfunction, urinary incontinence, sleep problems, and difficulty swallowing.

Arthritis

Patients with arthritis may experience inflammation, joint damage, immune system dysfunction, or infection-causing pain and making daily tasks more difficult.

  • Managing assistive devices, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.
  • Encouraging and assistance with exercise and range of motion.
  • Personal care including assistance showering, dressing, toileting and all other daily hygiene.
  • Specialty diet meal planning and prep. Adding food that is anti-inflammatory has been shown to help reduce the swelling such as fish, nuts, fruits, and vegetables.
  • Transportation to doctors and physical therapy.
