Introducing Eden Home Care’s 2025 Employee of the Year
As we begin close out the year of 2025, we want to share something truly special- an example of the heart, courage, and values that define Eden Home Care.
Back in August, one of Eden Home Care of North Idaho’s caregivers, David Tingley, demonstrated extraordinary courage and compassion during an unexpected community emergency. While supporting his own Home Care client, David became aware of a situation involving a 5-year-old child who had fallen from a second-story window and was in severe distress.
Without hesitation, David stepped in and provided immediate, critical support. His quick thinking, calm response, and ability to stabilize the child significantly reduced the risk of catastrophic injury, including permanent paralysis or loss of life. David remained with the child and family until emergency responders arrived, ensuring the child was safely cared for during the most critical moments following the fall.
David’s actions made a profound difference during an incredibly frightening situation. Because of his willingness to act and his steady presence, the child received timely care that directly contributed to a positive outcome. Today, that little boy is alive, recovering, and able to continue living his life.
What stood out just as much was the compassion David showed afterward-offering comfort, reassurance, and support to a family he had never met. His response reflected not only skill and training, but genuine heart.

A true act of heroism
Because of this remarkable act-and the way he consistently embodies Eden’s values within our community, we are honored to recognize David Tingley as Eden Home Care’s 2025 Employee of the Year – Hero in the Community Award recipient.
David’s actions remind us that caregiving goes far beyond the tasks listed on a care plan. It is who we are, how we show up, and the impact we have when it matters most. Please join us in congratulating David on this incredibly well-deserved recognition.
