Our therapists help individuals who have physical, developmental, social, or emotional problems that prevent them from performing the general activities of daily living (ADLs). ADL’s can include a variety of tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting to help them return to their prior level of independence and mobility. Our occupational therapists team up with a certified occupational therapy assistant to ensure that our patients get the frequency of care that their plan of treatment outlines.
There is a variety of reasons why a patient’s speech can be difficult to understand as they grow older. The vocal cords can become less elastic and larynx muscles weaken. Our speech-language pathologists work to restore the speech of individuals with communication disorders; usually, these disorders are the result of traumas such as surgery or stroke. Our therapists also help retrain patients in breathing, swallowing and muscle control that allows our patients to communicate more effectively.
Our physical therapists rehabilitate multiple and complex diagnoses. They develop a customized plan of treatment for each patient to ensure rapid progress. Physical therapy services help patients recover from fall injuries, joint replacement surgeries, and stroke-related disabilities. Our physical therapists have a depth of experience and help restore function by training on gait, use of a cane, walker, wheelchair, artificial limb and return to work status (if applicable). Physical therapists work with certified physical therapy assistants to carry out the plan of treatment established by the initial start of care.
